Our January 22nd meeting featured Bob Fuller, an experienced genealogy researcher, who talked about use of the U.S. Federal Census from its inception through 1940. Bob also reminded the audience of the value of public mailing lists, available for sign-up on Rootsweb.org for family names, places, historical events, etc. He has found them a very useful tool in finding otherwise inaccessible information about towns which may have been combined with other local small towns, etc.
